Terms of Use
Last updated: 13 June 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Mora mobile application (the “App”) and this website, provided by Philipp Eder (the “Service Provider”) as a freemium service. By downloading, accessing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. The service
Mora helps you learn languages through digital flashcards, automatically generated conjugation tables, native-speaker audio, spaced-repetition study sessions and related educational features. The service includes both free features and paid “Mora Pro” features offered on a subscription basis.
2. Your content and responsibilities
You retain ownership of the flashcard content you create. By using the App you agree to use it only for lawful purposes, and you are responsible for:
- maintaining the security of your device and access to the App;
- the content you create and the activity that occurs through your use of the App;
- ensuring your content does not violate any law or infringe anyone's rights.
You may not use the App to create or share content that violates any law or regulation, infringes intellectual-property rights, is harmful, offensive or inappropriate, or constitutes spam or unauthorised promotion.
3. Intellectual property
All trademarks, copyrights, database rights and other intellectual-property rights in the App and website remain the property of the Service Provider. You may not copy or modify the App, extract its source code, translate it into other languages or create derivative works, except as permitted by law.
4. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation
- Mora Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (Annual or Monthly). Current pricing is shown in the App and on the App Store, in your local currency including any applicable taxes.
- The Annual plan may include a free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts into a paid subscription.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Except where required by applicable law, subscription fees are non-refundable. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
For auto-renewable subscriptions, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies. You can review it here: Apple Standard EULA.
5. Third-party services
The App uses third-party services to provide its features, including analytics and crash reporting, content generation, audio and subscription management. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and the Service Provider is not responsible for their practices. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Connectivity and charges
Some features require an active internet connection. The Service Provider is not responsible if a feature does not work because you lack Wi-Fi or have exhausted your data allowance, and you are responsible for any data or roaming charges from your mobile provider.
7. Updates and availability
The Service Provider may update, modify or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. To keep using the App you may need to download updates. We do not guarantee that the App will always be available or compatible with your device's operating-system version.
8. Limitation of liability
The App relies in part on third parties to generate content and is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service Provider shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the App, and total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time and delete it from your device. The Service Provider may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. On termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms end and you must stop using the App.
10. Consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including the UAE Consumer Protection Law (Federal Law No. 15 of 2020) where it applies to you.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising from or in connection with the App or these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
